Director, choreographer, actress, singer,
performance artist, curator, producer and cultural entrepreneur
Annika B. Lewis; has a basic education in visual arts and is here after
educated in the physical laboratory theatre tradition at Larssons TeaterAkademi
in Sweden and at Istituto di Arte Scenica in Italy (1987-90). She took
a post education program in 2000-02 at Scut/Gitis - the state theatreschool
in Moscow.
Parallel she has studied different forms of dance and choreography since
1985.
Annika has been a member of different ensembles such as; William Cirkus
(1989-91), Exment/Tin Box (1991-93), and Les Amazones (1991-98) in Denmark.
She is working as a freelance actress, choreographer and performance artist
- and has performed and presented her work in in Denmark, Sweden, Norway,
Iceland, Germany, Italy, Russia, Portugal, Great Britain, Belgium, Latvia,
Brazil, Finland and U.S.
She has worked with among others the Danish groups; Global stories, Neander,
Club Fisk, Bozco and Boxiganga, the Portuguese João Fiadeiro/Atelier
RE.AL, the Icelandic LabLoki - and as an actress in different movies and
for TV.
Annika has directed and choreographed in different connections such as
"Mobil- DanseNedslag & StudioEvent" dance in different public
places such as the trainstation in Aarhus, supermarkets and bars. "Samsara"
a new written piece for choir by Mejlhede/Ulbrandt that was put up at
GRAN theatre for dance (2001-02), a.o.
Parallel to this working and touring as a singer and front-figure in the
orchestra Felicia since 1997, as well as making crazy cabarets with the
orchestra AnniQa.
Annika is the founder and artistic leader of Kassandra Production and
has in this context produced, staged and directed/choreographed:
